Free Trial Privacy Notice

What we collect

When you start a free trial, the HigherHost Trial plugin creates a full

backup of your WordPress site — your database (pages, posts, products,

orders, settings) and your files (themes, plugins, and uploads like

images). Nothing is collected beyond what's in that single backup.

Why we collect it

We use that backup for exactly one purpose: to build a live preview of

your site on a HigherHost subdomain, so you can see how it looks and

performs on our hosting before deciding whether to move over.

How it's stored

The backup is downloaded over a secure, private link that only you and

HigherHost have access to. It isn't published, indexed, or shared with

any third party.

How long we keep it

The backup is automatically and permanently deleted 7 days after it's

created — whether or not you convert to a paying customer. If you'd like

it deleted sooner, just ask.

What we don't do

We don't sell, share, or use your data for anything outside of building

your trial preview. We don't retain a copy beyond the 7-day window, and

we don't access anything on your live site beyond what the plugin

exports.
